Dear Christians,
If you are joining the many voices of hatred and disobedience to God and saying that you hope Trump dies of COVID19.... then allow me to direct you to the BIBLICAL response you should be having:
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
--Romans 13:1-7
Remember David in Scripture honoured King Saul even as Saul tried to kill him. Jesus showed respect to Pilate and Herod when he was to be crucified. The Israelis when they were in exile to Babylon were commanded to do good for their community and leadership. Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego showed honour to those in leadership even as Daniel was put in the lion's den and the other three were put in a furnace to burn. And this commandments in Romans and 1 Timothy? Was written as he was in prison to be martyred and in the time Plato martyred Christians for entertainment, If you have joined the words of the world by speaking death upon our leadership, please remember this....
You dislike Trump? That is no excuse when God commands us to be set apart from the world. That is no excuse to disobeying God. That is no excuse to not pray for those in authority. If you've joined the world and the forces of darkness in this time, you need to take a moment to examine your heart and ask yourself if you are living in Christ or if you are living in sin?

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
